Happy Anniversary!

So today is me & Tyrel's 9 year anniversary. That seems like a long time, but it has gone by so fast. We've been together ever since my Jr. year of high school. I will never forget the first time I saw him at a school dance. I was bein' goofy with my friends when I looked over and saw him. He was looking right at me, smiling. I get butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it. Then once a slow song came on, he came over and asked me to dance. I couldn't believe that the cutest guy I had ever seen was asking me to dance. Once we were officially "together", I used to think,"I can't believe he is with ME!" I was head over heels for this stud! When we got married, practically right out of high school, we both thought, "FINALLY!" We talked about getting married for so long and it was finally happening. Since then, Tyrel has been such a good husband and hard worker. He does so well at trying his best to provide for his family. I can't think of someone who is more determined at making sure his family is taken care of. He is a good Dad, and loves to be goofy and wrestle with his boys. We have definitely had some high highs and low lows, but I wouldn't want to have them with anyone else. He helps me to learn & grow as a wife and mother. He helps to push me to try new things that I might not want to do or think I can do. So happy anniversary Tyrel, I love you so much. I am glad to be on this rollercoaster ride of life with you!

Teriyaki chicken recipe

Okay so my blog is turning into a recipe blog, but hey atleast you get some good recipes right? This one is super easy and so delicious on chicken! I got it from my mom in law, and I think she got it from her daughter!

3/4 C. soy sauce
3/4 C. sugar
dash of ground ginger
1/3 C. Pineapple juice(or lemon juice if you don't have pineapple).

I mixed this all together in a small pot and got it boiling to dissolve the sugar, then poured it into the pan with my already cooked chicken and let it simmer and soak into the chicken. I did add a little cornstarch to thicken the sauce a bit. Then just serve over rice. SOOOO good! Tyrel approved it, which can be tough some times, so it's definitely a keeper! Enjoy!

*(you can also make this with meatballs and rice)

Halloween

We carved pumpkins the Sunday before Halloween. The kids loved it, but didn't like how gooey it was, especially Luke, watch video below. We celebrated halloween on Friday night since our ward party was that night. We had a yummy soup & chilli dinner. They had all kinds of games and prizes for the kids, then they did the trunk or treating! Lots of fun, lots of candy!
