Happy birthday Luke!

One year ago on September 8, 2008, our sweet little Luke joined our family. He was anxious to get here and only took 5 1/2 hours of labor to arrive. He has been the sweetest, happiest, smiliest baby. We have enjoyed every month, week, day, hour, minute, and second he has been with us, and look forward to MANY more! We love you Luke. Happy birthday!

Mmmmmmmm!

I think Trinidee enjoyed the cake more than Luke!

Frosting faces!

After Tyrel mashed his face into the cake!

First day of Preschool!

Tuesday was Logan's first day of preschool. He didn't want to go at first, but saw all the fun stuff that they have to play with and then he was all for it!

CORN, CORN, CORN, and more CORN!

Last weekend I went over to my sister-in-law's house to help harvest corn and freeze it. We started at 9:00 AM and got done about 3:00 PM. I went over to her house the night before and helped them pick it. Bucket and bucket fulls of corn. It was really hot in her garage with the dutch oven cooker cooking all that corn, but it was well worth it. Now I have about 40 ziploc bags of corn on the cob corn in my freezer to eat all throughout the year, until next year and we do it again. Pretty soon I'll be canning peaches and doing some peach jam. I hear it's pretty good! Being up in Idaho has sure intoduced me to the whole canning thing, which is a good thing for my food storage shelves.
Step 1: pick the corn(sorry, no pictures of that). Here's one of Luke helping to shuck the corn instead. He's cuter anyway!

Step 2: shuck the corn(Greg and Angie)

Step 3: cook the corn, then place it into a cooler full of icewater to cool it off quickly.

Step 4: cut the corn off the cob then put the cut corn into BIG bowl.(Tyrel's mom Gwen)

Step 5: bag the corn into ziploc bags for freezing.
Step 6: eat corn on the cob corn all year round. YUMMY!!!!
